FreeNepalVPN separates the public web control plane from privileged VPN node operations. Nodes authenticate outbound over HTTPS and accept only validated peer operations instead of arbitrary shell commands.

What VPN technology does it use?
FreeNepalVPN is built around WireGuard, a modern VPN protocol designed for a small attack surface and efficient encrypted tunneling.
Where is my VPN private key stored?
The client architecture is designed so the WireGuard private key is generated and kept on the device. The control API receives the public key needed to provision the tunnel.
Is the Android app available now?
The Android client is currently being built and tested. The website and control-plane infrastructure are being prepared first so the app can connect to a reliable managed network.
How are VPN servers monitored?
Each VPN node sends authenticated health heartbeats to the FreeNepalVPN control plane, including capacity and operational telemetry used to determine whether a location is healthy.
